To drive results

What we do

The Oncology Circle is a membership-based, knowledge sharing, collaboration among independent, professionally managed, physician-owned community oncology practices. We bring the leading minds in oncology together to promote discovery and adoption of best practices to improve the clinical, operational and financial results of our member practices.

How we do it

Collaborative meetings

Benchmark development
Best practice sharing

Collaborative meetings

The Oncology Circle brings members together twice each year, typically on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. The Friday sessions are open to all members, sponsors and invited guests followed by a reception and dinner. Saturday’s session is for members and invited potential members only and provides a forum for practice leaders to discuss anything with candor.

The Spring meeting is built on benchmarks developed from information collected from Oncology Circle member practices based on the previous year’s results. The Fall meeting is a mid-year check on the financial and operational performance of Oncology Circle members. Each meeting includes presentations on various operational, financial and legal matters that will impact community oncology in the following year.

Benchmark development

The Oncology Circle generates practice benchmark metrics around relevant clinical, financial and operational issues for the practicing community oncologist exclusively for members to help gauge performance and identify opportunities. Over 300 benchmarks are provided in the Circle Assessment, an annual report for each participating practice compared with average of all Oncology Circle members covering:

Customized reports are distributed to each practice that contributes data.

Best practice sharing

The Oncology Circle enables members to connect with their peers to collaborate on the issues that matter most to oncology practices and the patients they serve. Example topics of discussion and best practice sharing include physician compensation methodology, the future of E&M, negotiation tactics, new tools and technologies that facilitate practice efficiency and practice alignment with larger entities and marketing strategies. Topics for discussion are generated by the Oncology Circle members.
