Jim is one of the founding members and the co-Executive Director of the Oncology Circle. Prior to this position, Jim was the Director of Network Development for Oncology Metrics, a division of Flatiron. He has over 40 years of experience in the medical field with a broad background in practice management, operations, and medical sales.
Jim was responsible for the growth and development of the Oncology Circle and the Altos Circle, data sharing collaboratives of best-in-class oncology practices, dedicated to clinical and operational excellence through the scientific collection and use of data. He is the principal author of the Drug Acquisition Cost Index, a resource for drug cost information, and a contributing author to the National Practice Benchmark report.
Prior to joining Oncology Metrics, Jim was the Eastern Regional Vice President for US Oncology. During his tenure with US Oncology, his primary areas of responsibility included oncology practice strategic planning and operational enhancement. In addition, he has held positions with the Oley Foundation. The Oley Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to consumers on long-term parenteral and enteral nutrition At Oley he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Board Member.
Jim is a graduate of the Albany College of Pharmacy and Union University with a Master’s degree in Health Systems Management. He maintains his Pharmacist License in New York State. He was also a member of the medical team for the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid which served the Olympic athletes and staff. He continues to serve in various volunteer organizations and is the past president of the Bolton Landing Library Association. He resides in Upstate New York.
